MM02 Availability check field.

Hello All,

We got a requirement where in material master change(MM02) Sales/ General plant view Availability check field should be in gray mode.

Please advice what can be done on this issue.

go to OMS9 here you can make the required fields as display / required / opt entry.

Hello,

Business want the Availability check field should be in display mode only for MM02. So if we change th field in OMS9 it will be in display mode in MM01 also.

Check with your basis team and provide change authorization to only limited users for those views. Completely greying out is NOT a good idea (even in MM02) as this field may need to be changed by users in future or in MASS.

Hi sashi,

can you try with creating screen variant in SHD0 for MM02 transaction, here you can make particular field invisble or mandatory.

Hi Sashi,

You can do this in the following customizing:

SPRO: Logistics - General > Material Master > Field Selection > Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens

Double clic in field reference MM02 (you can check which transactions are affected by pressing the "where-used list").

After you double clic, you will see all the selection groups and the current setting for them (hide, display, required entry, opt. entry) for this field reference.

Suggestion: find the selection group for the field "Availability check" and change the setting.

If you are able to identify the object name for that field, via PFCG, it can easily be controlled.  On the other hand, you have to try with user exit MGA00002
