Dear All,
I just realised, in our SAP, that for most of the inspection lots system is not calculating Sample Size... whereas for few it is.
Although all the required master data is maintained & not changed at any point of time.
We've maintained MIC with required Control Indicators, sample procedure with relevant sample scheme.
Same MIC/Sampling Procedure is assigned to various products but not sure why system is behaving like this.
Does anybody faced such problem or any idea why this is happening?
Thanks.
Regards,
Anup
Do you mean sample is not at ll getting calculated to its getting calculated but wrong ?
Check the material master QM view.Have you maintained any addition ticks like manual sample calculation ,manual sample entry or have you mainatined sampling procedure or 100 % etc.
also check UOM of the inspection plan and material master.

Hi Sujit,
Thanks for your reply.
Sample is not getting calculated at all, though status is showing as- REL CALC. Sample size is showing as Zero. I'm sure that we've not maintained any additional tick like manual sample/sampling procedure in material master... but still to confirm it, I will check again.
Also could you please let me know what's significance of UoM in inspection plan/material master related to my issue?
Thanks.

Anup
If not at ll getting calculated then ,as I said Inspection type or UOM's or sampling plan of the sampling procedure is it relevant to Inspection lot size.
Consider the example of UOM KG & gm.
UOM maitained in plan header is KG and if sample size is coming in 'gm' ( @ char level say you maintained so or may be partial sample ) which is too small then system will not able to calculate sample.
