hi

  what is exception message 10 rescheduling in (22.07.2012) when it will give this message and how to trouble shoot this and what is the meaning of this. Explain with example

Hi Badri,

Exception message 10 is reschedule in.

Meaning of it is, we have planned a material based on some requirement take example next month. For example if we get any unplanned or additional requirement, which creates reservation for tat material before the delivery date of our planned requirement, then MRP will activate this exception message.

See example below with screen,

Material is supposed to get delivered on 23.06.2012 as per plan and as shown for Purchase order. But there is a reservation for this material on 24.05.2012 and requirement is 200. If you reschedule purchase order delivery date to 24.05.2012 then you can meet the reservation requirement. And then you have to plan for remaining quantity.

MRP will plan according to this and give you exception message 10 to adjust the plan based on requirements.

In your example p.o qty is 20 and requirement qty is 200 how does it fullfil the requirement of order reserved

Hi Badari,

Since i created a PIR for 20 numbers and create PO for 20 numbers only , MRP is asking me to reschedule in to cater these 20 numbers against 200 and you can see remaining 180 numbers demand it is showing. Scroll to the right side in the screen.

For remaining 180 it shows the demand in MD04 which i have to address.

  Now still 180 stock you have to bring in so again mrp creates planned order for 180 again

Hi Badari,

I am using make to stock strategy and i put PIR for the planning. I put remaining 180 numbers in my PIR and run MRP then this demand created planned order for me.

Exception message helps me to understand my planning result and readjust the quantities or demand. It will not help you to generate the requirement.

Who told you that exception message created requirement? it is wrong if you felt that.

Hi,

If the fixed element is after the requirement date, within the rescheduling horizon and this type of fixed element is included on the rescheduling check, according to the customizing, exception message “10 - Bring process forward” is displayed for the element.

10: Reschedule in      

Diagnosis

In the rescheduling check, the system calculated a date to which the receipt is to be brought forward (rescheduled in) to avoid a material shortage.

The rescheduling date displayed is the date on which the receipt is to be available for MRP. This includes the goods receipt processing time. If this is not zero, this information is displayed as well as the required goods receipt date.

System Response

This exception is displayed in the MRP list, and in the stock/requirements list.

When does the system do rescheduling check and how we will come to know whether rescheduling is  happened or not
