How to find process chain corresponding to a job

Hi,

Can any guide me how to find the processchain related to a job which is running in sm37??

Hi Norton,

1. Select the job in SM37

2. Click on "Step"

3. Select the program RSPROCESS

4. GOTO(Menu) -> Variant

5. In the field chain, you will find the process chain.

For few jobs you won't find the process chain and you need to check the in se38 manually.

Thanks for your reply vijay, i've one more ques..

recently i changed a scheduling job in sm37 but it is still running under previous user name and failing as that userid was deleted..

can u help me with this??

Create a new scheduling with a valid user id.

Hi Norton,

It happens if the changed username doesn't reflect in the programs which the job is using. In such cases follow below steps:

1. Select the job

2. Job(Menu) -> Change

3. Click on "Step"

4. Select the program for which User still has old user name

5. Click on Change

6. Change the username and then save

7. Then onwards the job will run with the changed username.
