EPM ADD-IN BIG VOLUME NOT WORKING CORRECTLY

Hello Experts,

I installed SAP BPC 10 MS with this configuration :

  • OS : Windows 2008 R2 ; and
  • SQL/OLAP : 2008 R2.

I also installed EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL because Microsoft Access database engine 2010 (x64) was required in BPC install, so I can only use Office 2010 (x64).

When I open the web client, I cannot see Office shortcut (Excel, Word and Powerpoint) but EPM install link. I also have ActiveX error when I try to open a process template.

Thanks,

Regards,

    Hi all,

The EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL is working correctly with IE (64 Bits). I used IE (32 Bits) that is why the EPM didn't work.

    Sorry for the inconvenient,

    And thanks for your reply,

    Shahid

    Hi Shahid,

Try with Office 2010 32 bit. I think that only the 32 bit ( 32-bit / x86 ) editions of MS Office are currently supported.

      Hi Anouar,

As I said, I cannot install Office 2010 (x86) because "Microsoft Access database engine 2010 (x64)" is required in BPC install.

As precise in "EPM Add-in for Microsoft Office Installation Guide" you can use EPM Add-in with Office (x64).

The EPM ADD-IN seems work if I open it directly in Excel. But I cannot use through processes neither with web shortcut.

      Best Regards,

      Shahid

    Hi,

would you mind installing the EPM Addin from Internet Explorer 32bits.

To do so, connect to BPC for Web through IE 32bits then simply install the Addin.

I am looking forward hearing good news from your side.

    Hi Shahid

What do you use as a web Browser ? IE or Mozilla Firefox ?

Mozilla Firefox is not supported with BPC and this may be the cause of the missing shortcuts.

Other thing: Could you verify that your user account has local administrator rights on your local machine.

If No you can grant local administrators' rights to the BPC user for your client machine.

    Best Regards

    Yasser
