PPM over PDS

Hello,

Due to the project situation and inherent limitations with PDS, we are using PPM instead of PDS. There is a concern that SAP may not support PPM in future. Does anyone have a clear answer to the concern on SAP's support for PPM?

Hi Manotosh,

SAP support say that PPM will not supported on future releases, but at moment, PPM still running. In my opinion will work forever.

But why you are working with PPM? Because PDS has more features than PPM (like "Min. Send-Ahead Quant." ).

I test PDS and PPM, but use only PDS.

Hi Manotosh,

SAP will continue to support PPM's in APO.  There are some very real reasons to use PPM's over PDS's.  Please see Note 1079959 for PPM vs. PDS Differences.

That is the exact reason why I am using PPM over PDS.
