Strange memory spike during startup of NW ABAP

Hello,

We're using Netweaver 7.3 ABAP version. During startup of netweaver instance memory suddenly jumps to 20 GB and then drops down. See  attached picture.

Is there any way I can debug this problem?

Please do note that ora DB instance was already started.

Hi,

It would most probably be that the SAP application only 'sees' the total available memory. Its not being utilized completely. Check this thread below having some excellent explanation by Markus:
