Use of EA-APPL in HCM

Hi,

We have just got our system upgraded to EHP 6.

All of the software components are in the correct levels except EA-APPL, which is still showing 600.

Is it mandatory to get EA-APPL also in 606. If we dont do it, what kind of problems might we face.

Please help me understand the purpose of this software component.

Hi,

It should be on 606 level. EA-APPL is part of Central Application usage type. You can check SAP note 774615 for more information of SP level of components in EHP6.

Hi Pranitha,

All software components in the SAP enhancement package 6 for SAP ERP 6.0  contains the corrections which have been shipped in SP Stacks 18, 19,  and 20 of the underlying SAP ERP 6.0 software component.

If now the corrections included in EHP6 correspond to ERP 6.0 SP Stack level 20, SAP recommends to update also the parts of your system to SP Stack level 20 which you do not want to update to EHP6 to achieve a consistent correction level in all parts of your application.
