Hi :
There is a requirement from client to set a particular limit on budget posting in FM user wise. For example user A can only post budget up to 5 Million . Please guide how this requirement can be catered in FM-BCS.

Hi Atif,
You can sort it out with BADI FMKU_BUDGET_EVNT, which allows to do different checks before saving the budgetary document. Alternatively, you can create consistency check library (FMCCD transaction).
Regards,
Eli
P.S. Also, check WF roles, e.g. transaction FM+3

Hi:
Thanks for the prompt reply. I am looking in FMCCD. This more or less looks to me like validation in FI. Can you please guide me further how to proceed with the requirement i am quoting. User A has log in ID FM-01. Now i want him to restrict budget posting in excess of 5 Million. How can i accomplish the same in FMCCD.

Hi Eli:
I have created a rule in FMCCD , in Prerequisite , i wrote User Name = 'xyz' , in check i mentioned key figure "ALL_BUDGET_DATA", Select Operator >, Selected value and entered 5 million, Assigned an error message there. I also assigned it to Budget entry document check libraries but still it is allowing my user to post budget in excess of 5 Million.

Please, send some screes: pre-requisites, definition of key figure, definition of check. FMCCD should work; I've been using this functionality in several projects and there are no new bugs in this domain.

In Above screen shots i have created and assigned rule that user upload_fi can not post budget exceeding 500000 but on the contrary user is able to post budget exceeding 500,000 .

I think check should be '<= 500,000'. Error message will be issued if the check is not satisfied.
