Depreciation Key error while creating Asset master

Hi Experts,

While creating Asset master I’m getting the problem. We are using 2 depreciation areas 01 Book Dep and 15 Tax Dep. While creating asset master, in Dep areas tab for 01 I can able to enter Dep key but for 15 it is in display mode. In display mode before entering values in 01, it is showing Tax dep key, after entering values to book dep then it is showing as Book dep area values.

1. E.g: For 01 book dep key is ZPLM

                15 Tax dep key is IN3

Initially in 01 Dep key was ZPLM and 15 was IN3, when I entered Useful life and Ordinary Dep date in asset master then system is automatically picking values to 15 area from book Dep area values i.e. ZPLM in both areas.

I have checked in OBYZ, maintained two values i.e. for 01 ZPLM and for 15 IN3, and I also checked in screen layout for  dep areas, for both areas depreciation key is required field.

after entering values to Odep start and uselife

Please let me know any solution for this.

Financial Accounting > Asset Accounting > Valuation > Depreciation Areas > Specify Transfer of Depreciation Terms

deactivate identical button for dep. area 15.

Hi Nagesh,

Have u activated group asset concept for depreciation area 15 ? or individual asset wise calculating depreciation hence SAP it self not support Group asset concept, and they came with new solution in EhP5.

Please let me know how to manage depreciation area 15.
