Functionality of VE94 and VI94 T-Codes and T604 table.

Hello All,

I have a request for finding out how VE94 and VI94 behaves in the SAP.

Actually VE94 used to upload commodity codes on the basis of Country code and language key.

VI94 used to upload Import codes on Country and language key combination.

Generally any business will upload the commodity codes manually, for example, in one or two languages for the same country. But the table T604 will have entries for more than 2 languages. I would like to know any back ground customization settings or coding causing other languages will automatically upload in the table.

Please help me on this issue.

Thank you,

Best Regards,

Sasi

Hi Sashi,

I'm not familiar with this transaction but I found a consulting note that might help you:

  • Note 1034696 - Procedure for importing new commodity codes

Hope it's useful.

Hello Ornella,

This information is helpful for me but this note is not explaining the request I mentioned.

This note is all about how to Import Commodity codes.

Thanks for your response.

Best Regards,

Sasi

It looks table T604T holds the language and text description of the commodity codes. I assume these language and texts are added from the input files of VE94 (VI94) and not from other sources. Can you do a test by adding a number using VE94 and check?

Hello Sasi,

Have you check table T604T?

That is the one that stores the description with the language as key.

You can upload the codes manually:

  • SPRO: Sales and Distribution > Foreign Trade/Customs > Basic Data for Foreign Trade > Define Commodity Codes / Import Code Numbers By Country.

The system uses the language you are logged in.

If you want to update any other language:

  • Menu: Goto > Translation. Select the language

Hope it's useful.

Regards,

Ornella
