Mass capacity leveling

Dear expert,

Would like to ask the standard basis/strategy when doing the CM21 tcode. What I understand is that, when you deploy the orders for a certain workcenters - it will based on the production order #: meaning first order# up to the latest order #. My concerns is that, what if im using the MTO(make-to-order) and my prod order is based from sales order and during the deployment, I want it based on the delivery date of the SO not the prod order#. Please advise.

Thank you.

Hi Knee,

Basically, the Production schedules for MTO production orders are determined from the Sales orders.

i.e., System proposes the Finish date for the production order, considering the schedule line dates from the Sales orders.

So, we can focus on scheduling/leveling based on the Production order finish dates.

The capacity leveling configurations are a bit complex and time consuming!

Fortunately, many of the configuration nodes can be accessed and changed through the Overall profile.

  • SPRO - Production - Capacity Leveling and Extended Evaluation - Define Overall profile

Some of the keys used inside the profile may need the settings elsewhere and get assigned - All the config nodes could be found under the umbrella -

  • SPRO - Production - Capacity Leveling and Extended Evaluation

I guess, SAPSFCG001 is the default Overall profile from SAP.

--> choose the Strategy profile --> Check the Sispatch sequence --> Choose the sequence like SAPSFCSS16/SAPSFCSS22 or so, which refer to the Latest start dates, and test.

--> If needed, you can use the enhancement CYPP0001 to modify the sequence of operations to be dispatched.
