Crystal Reporting on Multiprovider

Dear community,

We have a multiprovider based on 4 cubes and 1 DSO. Bringing in the calender year time characteristic to the crystal report gives me the right number of records and aggregation. Bringing in the month/year (0CALMONTH), strips of the entire key figure from one of the cubes and gives me lesser records.

I don't see this behavior in Web I.

Details on the BW Query:

5 std key figures,15 restricted key figures

calender, year month characteristics and 3 other characteristics mapped in rows, All the key figures in column

We are on BOBJ 3.1 SP3 reporting on BW 7.0.

I am not sure, if this info might help, but the time characteristics are present only in the cubes and not in the DSO. The DSO acts as a delta enabler to handle deltas/deletion on an important master data characteristic infoobject needed for reporting.

I am not sure if I missed out something, coz i see different behavior in the number of records between web I and crystal while bringing in the 0CALMONTH characteristic. Your suggestions would be helpful.

Hi Vinny,

Following can help in narrowing down:

-What is the result when only month/year (0CALMONTH)  is placed on report canvas?

-If DSO is not used for reporting, do you see correct number of records?

-Is there any record selection filter applied in Crystal Report?

-Is there any join formed in Database Links tab between BW query and DSO. If yes, then how does changing of type of join impact the outcome?
