Problem viewing Dasboards.

I have built a dashboard that gets its data using the query browser. We have built up a universe with tables of data to build used by the dashboard.

When I put the dashboards .swf file on our Edge Server I can view it with no problems. When my colleague tries to view it she gets the following error:

We have tried changing the Crossdomain.xml file.

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi Steve,

Can you please tell us what is the URL that you are using in the dashboard for query fetch? Does it contain the complete URL as serverName.DomainName.com:8080... or just the ServerName:8080?

Use the first method as far as possible and update the crossdomain and hostfile on server too with the fully specified URL.

Hope it helps. Let me know the findings.

Thank You Dhanesh for providing the answer. We figured this out yesterday but I will give you credit for a correct answer.

I wonder why SAP doesn't correct this problem in some way or give a better error message that is not so cryptic. I apologize for being salty.

Thanks Steve. And yes, the error messages from SAP BO are all generic (like Error #2042) and same for different errors. Hope there is a patch for this.

Glad that your problem got solved.

Dhanesh

Hi,

I was facing the very same issue. But in my case it was eliminated when i changed the URL. There must be the same problem in that system too.  After clicking OK, are you able to view the output?

Thanks,

Sara
