Problem in downloading to Excel from SE 11

Hi all,

I'm facing a strange problem.

I have few excel files already opened on my desktop.

I'm trying to download some data from SE11 using the standard Excel download available like below

Now, what happens is a new worksheet will be opened in one of the already opened excel file and and I'm saving the data by clicking the tick in the popup shown above.

When i tried to close that excel file where the data download worksheet is available, the entire excel file is frozen and I need to hard-close it through task manager. I repeated the same, a few times and same result happened.

Do you have any clue why its happening like this?

Hi Srihari,

The Popup is asking you to save the data and not telling that the pressing the tick button will.

Its just a information message, Press SAVE in excel and close the popup.

I'm saving the data. But since I have some other excel files already open in my desktop, the downloaded data is present in a new worksheet in the already opened excel file.

The entire excel will be frozen at the end.

The "Spreadsheet" icon doesn't work for me either.  Try clicking the "Local File" icon and then choose the "Spreadsheet" radio button on the popup screen.

Try to do this for me and let me if it works...i have tried now and it works

go to data browser

menu ->EDIT - > DOWNLOAD - > GIVE name -> GENERATE.

it should work fine.

Try this way, first click on print preview button and then download the file to excel.
