Team,
My Question is I want to know the Significance of field Type of Vendor in Vendor master (CIN details Tab)
Vendor Master (XK03) -> CIN details -> Excise duty -> Type of Vendor
Deepak Mankeshwar
it is categorization of vendors as required by excise reporting rules , it is for information purpose in rg23 registers , if you click on F4 it will give you defination.

person manufacturing material is called manufacturer
the vendor who purchases from manufacturer and sells is called first stage dealer
the vendor who purchases from first stage dealer and sells is called second stage dealer
indigenous excisable goods stands for purchase within india , idea is dealers cannot add additional excise they can just pass it on on the basis of manufacturer's invoice
ex. manufacture sells something at price 100 Rs 12.36 Rs excise total 112.36
1st stage dealer 120Rs 12.36 Rs 132.36
2nd stage dealer 140 Rs 12.36 Rs 142.36
idea is dealers only mark up price with profit margin , they do not add value to goods sold and hence excise duty remains same as it was for manufaturer.
