Update of Resource Requirements after adding to PPM

Hello all Gurus;

I have added a new Resource to my PPM and the model is assigned and activated.  I have Production Planned orders on the PPM, but I'm not seeing the requirements on the Capacity side.  (I see these requirements on all the other Resources that were there originally on the PPM).  I have reloaded the new Resource and even reran the Heuristic, but still no requirements showing up on on the Capacity requirements for that Resource.

Do you think its a bug in our system or do you think I need to trigger things to show up after adding a Resource to a PPM?

Thanks.

Andrea

Hi Andrea - Did you try deleting old planned/productions orders and re-ran the heuristics?

You can also re-explode the existing orders with the PPM and try out and it might help.

Thanks,

Thank you, Murali.  I did come to this conclusion now and do see the requirements after rerunning the heuristic.  Also, re-exploding the orders takes care of it, too.

Thanks.

Hello Andrea,

Please first run consistency check /sapapo/ts_lcm_cons_check, and repair any inconsistency detected.

Then in SNP capacity view, load the new resource and use 'show dependent object' -> 'PPM/PDS' and  'show dependent object' -> 'Products' to see whether the PPM and poduct is correctly updated in the resource relevant aggregates.

Hi Andrea,

I assume you are not receiving any errors when doing a consistency check on the PPM. I also assume you are creating new planned orders with the PPM.

So, something is wrong with the capacity.  Is there non-zero productive time in the resource master for the new resource?  Was the new resource assigned to the model?   Also try /SAPAPO/OM17 with a detailed resource check.

Best Regards,

Mike
