Tooltips shown as 'Image' in IE8

I am using crystal reports with VS 2008. Where there is tooltip on an ole object i see text "Image" in IE 8 however, on IE 9 the tooltip is shown correctly.

The view source generated for both browsers is same. However, i notice that Crystal renders tooltip text as the div title and the image has an alt text 'Image'. For IE 8 the alt text is displayed when i hover on the object, but on for IE 9 the div title is displayed when hover. Why does crystal put tooltip text in the div title?

I have added the following in the httpHandlers section of web.config file :

<add verb="GET" path="CrystalImageHandler.aspx" type="CrystalDecisions.Web.CrystalImageHandler, CrystalDecisions.Web, Version=10.5.3700.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304"/>

But this does'nt seem to work. If someone knows the solution to this problem please share. Need a fix urgently as our application should support IE 7 and all higher versions.

    See if CR 2008 helps. No fixes planned for CR 10.5. Or as you mentioned in your previous post ( since you are moving to CRVS2013, see how this works there.
