“Fatal error: Check number xxx already exists in the check file”.

We have to print cheque no.xx from lot no.xx But we are getting message as “Fatal error: Check number xxx already exists in the check file.

the cheque no. which is i am using with new lot no. is already used in previous year and it is also reflects the same cheque no. in check register.

please suggest your valuable answer.
