Can we post manually in to Clearing Accounts If yes, what is the impact?

Hi All,

We have some clearing accounts like Fright Provision, Agent Comm. Clearing, Customs Provision, Consumption-Services...etc. are showing balances. I want all the above accounts should be zero, for that can i post the difference amount manually. If Yes, how can i clear the open items in that accounts. What are the impacts in other areas. Can anyone please help me.
