SAP BW role on HVS (High Volume Segmentation) solution

Hi Experts,

I´m working on a SAP CRM proposal for a client and I was wandering the SAP BW role on Segmentation process (High Volume scenario).

As far as I know, SAP BW data can be the source for a CSV file generation process that is further imported to the TREX.

However, after I checked several sources, I couldn´t understand clearly what is the real data source in BW for the mentioned file: is it an Infoobject, a Infocube, etc.? Is this file generated using the Open Hub functionality?

Could anyone help me understand the solution architecture in this scenario?

What could be the data source in SAP BW for the CSV file tha is generated in this process?

I really aprecciate any help.

Hi Fabio,

CRM Segmentaion Builder  approach:

Following are the steps which needs to be followed for CRM segmentation builder reporting:

1. Defining the RFC connection from the CRM to BI system, user id should be a dialog user.
2. The data source in the BW will be the business intelligence cube, Infoset and info cubes can also be used.
3. Defining the data source in the CRM system and bringing the BI query which is going to be defined.
4. Attribute modeling:  Process of defining attributes to be used as a filter.
5. Defining the filters required
6.  Segmentation Builder :  creating the target group based on the attributes available

HI Karthik, I hope your flow is valid for classical segmentation ? not for HV.. as per my findings, we if its HV design, then BW should have BWA in place or you need to use FILE Import Option.
