Item Error in service confirmation

HI,

When I try to create a service item or copy service items from a service order I get the following error

"Item 10: Enter either duration/start date or start/end date".

I am able to rectify the error in SAP GUI, but while doing this using code and FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN it does not work.

I am copying the fields exactly but it does not work.

Has anyone been able to solve this earlier. Please let me know by the earliest.

Regards,

Dhruv

In a Service order, the start date and end date or Start date and Duration are required fields, so you should enter the fields to move forward

You will have 2 Qty fields on a line item, one is order quantity and actual qty, you should enter one of those to move forward.

if you are getting on the followed up transaction like confirmation the resolution is same. this is standard no code and development is required

      Hi Venkata,

      Thank you for your reply.

I realize these are required fields. But I need to get rid of the errors in order to put the service confirmation in Completed Status. So, I was trying to do this through coding and copy the same fields as when I debug FM CRM_ORDER_MAINTAIN.

Is there any way we can do this through customizing or put status in completed status even when errors occur in the confirmation. Yes this error occurs when I create a followup to the service order. This error mostly occurs when there is more than one service item.

      Thanks in advance.

      Regards,

      Dhruv
