Lo Cockpit Extraction Clarification

Hi Folks,

I have two question on Lo Cockpit & will appreciate if you help me on this.

1. I have to extract data using 2LIS_13_VDITM level extractor. This extractor can be activated in Lo cockpit as well as I also see this extractor in BI delivered extractors under RSA5 under SD application component. I understand that LO is used for extracting the historical data and the setup tables are used and then we can take advantage of different delta types. BUT what is the difference if I activate this extractor in RSA5, replicate into BW and then build dataflow on it. What will I miss using RSA5 rather than Lo Cockpit method. I am not even sure if this is a valid question as I never worked on LO before so please help me clarify this confusion.

2. Also I need to know that once I build my dataflow using Lo Cockpit method in DEV, do I need to initiate set up in QA and then Production accordingly because I was told that we cannot collect & transport it (I highly doubt it) but please advise details that what steps do I need to take in QA and Prod once I am done in DEV side and complete the dataflow with dataload.

I read few manuals on LO but could not find these answers as these are more specific for someone who has done practical hands on the LO dataload project.

I would appreciate your answers to help me out.
