Dear all,
one of our customers is using CR 2008 SP 4 Runtime with Win XP. After upgrading to Office 2010 from 2007 they experience a problem when exporting to MS Word from a CR preview page.
Is there anybody out there who had the same problem? I was going to recreate this system state in our company tomorrow, but was wondering whether I could get some hints?
Thank you all for your time!
Regards
Kai
Unfortunately, due to illness, i never got around to checking the actual problem before today.
The situation is now showing as follows:
All reports can be viewed correctly in the CR Preview.
Once the user tries to export the Preview _of some reports_ to "Microsoft Word (97-2003)" - either with "Application" or "File" as a target, our application stops working with this information being shown by the error reporting window:
AppName - AppVer - AppStamp <provided correctly by our software>
ModName: crpe32.dll ModVer: 12.0.0.683 ModStamp:47c8b7b6
fDebug: 0 Offset: 002b63f7
Dev Languages used are C#.NET and CA Visual Objects, I currently don't know the SDK, but VO calls the CR Runtime.
Anybody had similar experiences?

Hi Kai,
The version of crpe32.dll is the original release. Subject line says you have SP 4 but somewhere it's still loading the original runtime, definietely why your app has stopped working.
Search for crpe32.dll and figure out why it's there and delete/rename the folder or FDISK ( just kiding ) your HD and start over.
Do not manually distribute our runtime, must use the Redist Packages to deploy.

Hello,
Did you write the application? If so what SDK and Dev language are you using? I'll move your post to the SDK forum.
CR 2008 is a 32 bit app and runtime, if they installed 64 bit Office you may run into problems. Can't say, you never gave details on what their problem is?
