Cross Catalog Search in SRM 7.0

Hi All,

We have SRM 7.0 and SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 in our landscape. Our requirement is to enable cross catalog search functionality. The cross catalog search check box is enabled in the webservices. But when we do a cross catalog search, it does not give any results. Do we need TREX to enable this functionality?

I saw a few discussions on cross catalog search but couldn't conclude if TREX is mandatory for this search.

Regards,
Sreekumar

Hi experts,

In our scenario, we have cross catalog search settings configured by referring note # 973594, but the search does not yield any results. On debugging it seems like system is looking for a webservice to be active. As webservices settings for cross catalog search was available in SRM 5.0, could this be a bug in the system? We are on SRM 7 SP 03 with SRM-MDM catalog 3.0.

TREX is not mandatory for the search.

As per my knowledge TREX has has to do advanced search parameters in Data manager and command functions in import manager only.

HI,

You dont need TREX for cross catalog search.

Make sure flag cross catalog search is checked for all your catalogs and they are up and runnning.

Also the user using this feature should have attribute catalog assigned to in the SRM org sturcture.

Hi Sam,

Thank you for the answer. In our case we followed note # have done the below configuration -

1. Activated 'cross catalog search' flag in webservices

2. Activate the checkbox 'Use HTTP GET to Call Web Service'

3. Maintained webservice as integrated call structure

4. Maintained the webservice in user attribute

In the SC screen, system does a cross catalog search for webservice and finally gives 'no result'. Can you help me understand if any other settings to checked?

HI Sreekumar,

There are no other settings that I know other than what you have listed.
