Hello,

C_HANATEC_1 - SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 1.0

The technology associate certification covers a lot of technical and operational details around SAP HANA. It's suited for SAP Basis consultants and DBAs. This certification covers more on technical terms of memory management and installation of HANA.

C_HANAIMP_1  - SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP HANA 1.0

The application associate certification is more on the application of HANA software in the client's/business requirement. It deals with the data modelling, report creation, implementation of HANA, creation of tables/views as per business requirement.

Hi Subu,

C_HANAIMP_1: "The certification "SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP HANA 1.0" test verifies the knowledge in the area of the SAP HANA 1.0 for the profile of a SAP HANA application consultant. This certificate builds on the basic knowledge gained through related HANA training and preferably refined by practical experience within a HANA team where the consultant can apply this knowledge of the specialist areas practically in projects." Basically this more of a functional HANA exam.  I covers how HANA works, how it used and some BOBJ modeling (I passed this one).

C_HANATEC_1: "The certification test "SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA 1.0" verifies the knowledge in the area of the SAP HANA 1.0 for the profile of a SAP HANA technology consultant. Details from https://training.sap.com/.   BW data modeler take the first, BASIS person take the second.

Cheers,

Duncan
