Regarding BOM of Milk in Dairy Industry


Dear All,

We are implementing SAP-PP(PI) in Dairy Industry, Here scenerio is that Milk is procured from Own collection centers as well as from Outside vendor and while recieving the Milk FAT and SNF are recorded as the batch characterstic.

I have to make BOM of standardized Milk which is to be used for Poly pack milk or UHT etc(For each finished product FAT and SNF composition is different)

My problem is that how to make BOM of standardized milk for which raw milk FAT and SNF is not constant.

Standardized Milk(header)

Component as below(may be you can guide me for exact components to be taken if I am wrong)

1) Raw Milk

2) Cream (To be added or subtracted)

3) Skimmed Milk or Skimmed Milk Powder

Suppose standardized milk for polypack required 3.4% Fat and 8.3% SNF and my Raw milk contain (On an average) 3.5% Fat and 8.6 % SNF

Can you guide me how to make BOM so that I can use MQC in process order for exact calculation.
