How to check/ determine, if all selected BI 4.0 components have been installed correct?

Hello, experts,

I spend a lot of time by investigation of insufficient oracle client installed. It was a waste of time and I found out, there are not installed all x86/ 32bit connection drivers, finally.

(I tried to simple copy them from another existing environment without success. the cscheck showed me no problem:

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64>cscheck.exe connectivity -c "Oracle Client" -d "Oracle 11"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Starting to check the middleware component installation...

Begin AND operator...

ORACLE_HOME... success.

path... success.

E:\APPS\Oracle\T09\112_64\client_1\bin\oci.dll... success.

E:\APPS\Oracle\T09\112_64\client_1\network\admin\tnsnames.ora... success.

End AND operator: success.

No middleware component errors were detected.

Starting to check the access driver component installation...

Begin AND operator...

Config Directory... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\setup... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\setup\oracle_oci.setup... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\setup\oracle_oci.setup(Directory)... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\oracle... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\setup\oracle_oci.setup(DataFileName)... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\oracle\oracle.sbo... success.

E:\APPS\Business Objects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\

onnectionServer\\drivers\lib64\dbd_oci.dll... success.

End AND operator: success.

The access driver is installed.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, Connection server could not see OCI driver. I am re-installing whole environment, right now.)

BUT, How can I check all selected components after installing of BI environment to prevent such cases in the future?

Thank you.

    Hi Ladislav,

I am afraid there is not such tool. You must keep a record of the clients needed depending your reports and Universes.

      Hi,

yes, it seems, it relates with BI installation directly. Therefore I asked, how can I check the installation has been done correctly?

We thing, there were some connections from remote client tools, when we were performing an installation. (We stopped all suggested services by upgrade guide, but it seems it was not enough.)

I can see your another reply before I will done this one. I am talking about BO BI 4.0 SP2 (and also FP3) installation, not about CR2k11. And the problem is with the LOV processes, which brings us to check the content of installation folder. And there were not deployed all jar files and so on...

Some checking tool would be great.
