H Carmen,

As udhay said, you have to perform the steps mentioned in help document,

http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/38/fd1f7ed337404cae5c8a2341dbdca4/content.htm

This document helps to configure the personal profile with new infotype here new infotype refers to the infotype which is not available in personal profile.

Employee Self-Services under Service-Specific

Settings Personal Information Personal Profile Adjust Infotypes in HRPAD Model .

check HRPAD model is available for this infotype, if available you have to start from

Add a new Infotype to the OVP.

Dear experts I  have followed the folloowing steps steps, but I have the following doubts:

1. First step is to create the BOL object for the new infotype. This is necessary as the infotype has to be available in the feeder class of the overview and detail pages:

The execution of the report creates the required structures and fills the customizing table V_T7XSSPERSUBTY:

The documentation says "Copy a configuration and include feeder class CL_HRESS_PER_OVERVIEW". The system ask which infotype you would .

My question is What is the path that I must follow for copy a configuration ie. Infotype 0105 and with this copy I can add a new Infotype?

2. The same has to be done for the detailed view: Copy existing configuration of Component FPM_FORM_UIBB:

My question is What is the path that I must follow for copy a configuration ie. Infotype 0105 and with this I can add a new Infotype?

How add the detailed view into the central Component-configuration?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Carmen,

In order to add new Infotypes in Personal Profile WDA follow the below path :

Personnel Management --> Employee Self Service (Webdynpro ABAP) -->Service Specific Settings -->Personal Information -->Personal Profile -->Determine Active Subtypes and make Settings --> enter the Country Grouping ---> Add the Required Infotype by using New Entries.

In your case add the Infotype 105 and slected the subtype it will be displayed in Personal Profile screen.

Hope this will help....

Ramana.

Hi Carmen

through customizing in V_T7XSSPERSUBTYyou just declare which info types and subtypes are allowed and how the time constraint should be used. If you want a "New"-Button in your toolbar you need to customize your info type in T582L additionally.

If you want, you can copy, but I would suggest to create your own configuration. It`s much to do but quite easy and helps to understand.

1.) Create a new building block on your OVP-Component.

2.) Add Component FPM_LIST_UIBB with View LIST_WINDOW

3.) Define a configuration name

4.) save - you get the message the Config doesn`t exist.

5.) go to the Configuration using "Config UIBB"-button - now you can create this config

6.) you will be asked for a feeder class it`s "CL_HRESS_PER_OVERVIEW"

7.) define Parameter COMPONENT_NAME = HRPAD, OBJECT_NAME = IT0105, GROUP_COLUMN = USRTY (EDIT_MODE and  INIT_LEAD_SEL are not needed in your case).
8.) define attributes - Rendering-Style = Row Repeater

9.) configure columns - add the fields you need AND columns DELETE and EDIT if it should be allowed for user.

10.) If you want a "New"-Button, add a tool bar to you uibb (in OVP component) and activate check box "Embed Actions" (there will be automatically a button created - just delete it) Depending on customizing you will get the "New"-Button automatically.

Now it`s time to get your data - therefor you need to create two wires.

1st Wire is to connect overview page with info type.

1.) Component is FPM_LIST_UIBB

2.) Config name is your defined name
3.) Connector class is CL_HRESS_CONNECTOR_PER_OVR

4.) Connector parameter is IT0105_REL

2nd Wire is to connect overview page with detail page

(Do you have already a detail page? Use an existing as template)

1.) Component is FPM_FORM_UIBB

2.) Config name is your defined name of the configuration for the detail page

3.) Root Component is FPM_LIST_UIBB

4.) Root Config name is your defined name (of UIBB config)
5.) Port is Lead-Selection

6.) Port identifier is STANDARD

7.) Connector Class is CL_HRESS_CONNECTOR_IDENTITY

Done

Hi Dieter

I have also followd the steps you have listed for adding a new Infotype to the ESS EHP5 WDA Application - Personal Profile.

However I have an issue in that I am getting no "edit" pencil icon on my overview page for the new UIBB I have created.

I can get a "new" button to appear by adding the tick "New Button always available on overview screen" to the Infotype in table V_T7XSSPERSUBTY, but I do not want the user to add new data, but just to be able to eidt the existing data in the detail UIBB.

Can you advise on why I am not getting an "edit" pencil icon after following your steps please?

Kind Regards

Hi Mark,

have you specified the fields FPMOVPNAVIDELETE and -EDIT as viewed columns (step 9)?

I remind, that we had no Buttons although they where defined in one case, too. But I am not sure about solution 🙂 Is the time constraint in V_T7XSSPERSUBTYP (with P) for the new info type customized?

Cheers

Hi Dieter

Thanks very much for your suggestion.

I had not added the FPMOVPNAVIDELETE and -EDIT columns.

Adding these as per your suggestion solved this issue for me.

Thanks again

Cool

Dieter

Edit: I just stumbled over a problem, which is easy to forget. If you want the user to be able setting valid date, you need to create a 3rd wire connecting the two UIBBs on detail page. Its similar to the 2nd wire described above.

Hi Experts,

I have done all of the required things as mentioned by Dieter and Meera. I also crosschecked standard configurations for Address and Bank infotypes.

I am trying to add Object on Loan(IT0040) on screen. I have added everything and when I try to exceute Personal info application on ESS, It does not show any add button. I am not sure where I am going wrong ?? It just show empty UIBB on overview screen. I have selected 'New' option in V_T7XSSPERSUBTY table.

Can someone please comment what could be wrong here ?
