GR for Production is it possible to receive to storage type other than 901 in WM

Hi,

I am trying post goods receipts for production orders to a new storage types called ABC and XYZ and I am aiming to reach this result by defning two removal strategies which are linked to storage type ABC and XYZ. The search strategies are linked to material masters which are for the actual materials being produced.

For storage type ABC storage bin 1 has been defined

For storage type XYZ storage bin 1 has been defined

For WM-movement type 103 I have removed source storage bin 901 and I want to let the system find the appropriate storage bin by checking on the removal and putaway strategy depending on which materials is bein produced.

When posting C011n the system issues an error, message L9009.

Is it even possible to have the system to post GR for Production to a own defined storage type and bin by doing what I have explained above or is there any other standard way which I can achieve the same automatically without removing 901 from movement type 103.

Hello Maziyar,

You have done one mistake by removing source storage type=901 from WM movement type=103, keep it as it is, as it requires for interim storage. Remove destination storage type and bin if any. Then as you said, as per search strategy you have maintained and hope you must have maintained some "storage type" indicators too. System will find storage type and bin as per your strategy. Cheers
