View Member Report Error

Hi Experts,

I am getting "cannot generate report" error when I open the dimension and click on "View member report". I have no issues processing the dimension though, just unable to generate the member report which populates the print tab. Only Account dimension is the one I am having problem with generating the member report, all other dimensions (even the ones with hierarchies) are generating the report without any issues.

Appreciate your input in solving this problem.

Thanks.

    Hi Srinivas,

probably you have a wrong hierarchy, with circular refenrece, or something dirty oin the excel file.

Don't go through admin console, open please the <dim>.xls file from Adminapp and check if the workbook contains the 3 worksheet (MEMBERS, OPTION and PRINT) if so check inside MEMBERS the hierarchy for circular references, or some blank or dirty lines.

    Kind regards

    Roberto

    • Hi Srinivas,

I think that it's related with the hierarchy (circular references), or some blank or dirty lines.

So I suggest to reduce the xls dimension file with few records, even just one line, try to process it and after open the "view member report" and see if it's right.

After add a small group of line and again to identify the record/s that is/are dirty of with a circular reference.

      Kind regards

      Roberto

Have there been any updates with this error? I have checked the same things on an account dimension (1,000+ members) and do not see any issues.
