DSO: error on activation, SID generation

Former Member

Hi,

I am loading the datasource 0PU_IS_PS_32 (FI Line Items in Funds Management) into a DSO (0PU_O32). This load has been working fine till a few days ago. The execution of the infopackage and the DTP is ok. But on the activation of the DSO there are several errors in the logging of the DSO (manage DSO > logging button for the concerned request). The most important seems to me:

- request 1: error on SID generation > Process 000002 for determining SID for InfoObject 0PSTNG_SEQ started > Process 000002 returned with errors

- request 2+3: error on SID generation > Process 000034 for determining SID for InfoObject 0ACDOC_NO_P started > Process 000034 returned with errors

- request 2+3: error on SID generation > Process 000037 for determining SID for InfoObject 0ACDOC_NO_P started > Process 000037 returned with errors

- request 2+3: error on SID generation > Process 000057 for determining SID for InfoObject 0ACDOC_NO_P started > Process 000057 returned with errors

How can I solve this errors ? These mentioned info objects are objects without any master data. Settings are :

- DSO: SIDs generation upon activation = yes.

- DTP: further processing without master data = yes.

How can I activate the concerned requests again ? If I want to activate the DSO again, only new requests are shown and not the requests, which went in error and I can not select them ? Do I have to delete the concerning requests from the DSO and then reload again ? It is a delta load.

Thanks, Guy Verschueren

i think you have a issue with data quality. you need to delete the request from the dso, correct the data in the psa and reload again to the dso. activation should be ok now.

check if you have more info about the error in ST22 or in the joblog in sm37

Found the solution: just deleted the DSO requests from the last 4 days and executed a reload from the PSA. Afterwards the activation went fine/. There must have been some system problems during these last days.

Thx all.

Hi Guy,

Thanks for sharing the screen capture.

What I could conclude from the error is that the database is trying to store a record which is already available in the database.

This error occurs if the DSO has 'Unique Data Records' option checked.

Uncheck this option so that this error won't appear.

If it option is unchecked and you're still facing the problem, just delete the indexes in the DSO.

Hope this helps. !

Hi Harish,

Unfortunately the concerned DSO has the property "Unique Data Records = No" and there are no Indexes defined on this DSO.

Any other ideas ?

Hi,

Try RSRV option.

Path: RSRV->All elementary text->Master data->SID Values in X and Y Tables

Hi,

Thx for the answers.

- M Tibollo: I will later today (cause there are some other loads running now) delete the 4 concerned requests on the DSO and execute the delta DTP again. Then I will check the logs/dumps.

But when you say to correct the corrupted data in the psa, what should i correct ? Can I find somewhere which records in the psa are causing the problems ? It is a delta of ca 160.000 records.

- Aravind Nag M: I have done the RSRV check for the 3 concerned infoobjects 0PSTNG_SEQ, 0ACDOC_NO_P, 0ACDOC_NO_F) , but I get the messages 'Test does not apply for characteristic 0PSTNG_SEQ (see long text)'. I guess this is because these objects contain no master data tables ? Should I do this check also for the othere objects in the DSO ?
