Message VN 096 Maintain archiving parameter(s) for output type xxxx (appl. xx)

Halo Gurus,

I am creating a message of Order confirmation which I would like to print and archive at the same time, as I have configured in another applications ( V3) with invoices, and working perfectly , but it gives me the following message:

Maintain archiving parameter(s) for output type Z001 (appl. V1)

Message no. VN096

Diagnosis

At the time of output determination, the archiving parameters for output type Z001 (application V1) were incorrectly maintained in Customizing.

Additional information:

SAP object:

Archiving object:

Procedure

Maintain the archiving parameters and repeat output determination for the required document.

Anyone knows where is the point of customizing where I must relate the output type, application and archiving parameters,. I only know v/30 and I have the same configuration that works for the other output messages.

I have checked notes, and even here in the SDN but I don't find the right answer for this problem.

thanks in advance for the answers I will reguard points.

Kind Regards

Marta

You can follow the recommendation provided in OSS Note 639149 - Message VN096 when you print or store outgoing documents

    • Then I recommend to check the configuration again and check the output master records in VV12. For example, a printer is assigned in the output master records, however, it may be locked in t.code SPAD. The partner function may not be explicitly mentioned as SP in the output master record.

Since you have mentioned that it is working for other outputs, you can make a comparison between order confirmation with the other from both configuration and output master records point of views.

As a last resort, you can check with an ABAP'er to debug the order output program to find on what basis the system issues this error message.

      Regards,
