Changing and customizing the web intelligence prompt dialogue box

Hi all

this is my first post in the community network.

I am new to sap,business object and Java also.

My boss asked me to customize the web intelligence prompt dialogue box which appear when opening a  new report. i have done some research and I found that it can be customized using a technology called "REbean". but i have no clue how to start this, and i don't know for sure that this is the way the web intellgence prompt dialogue box can be customized.

so i have some question to help me figure out what shall i do and how can i start.

what IDE shall i use?

how can I integrate the application or the customized dialogue with the web intelligence to replace the default prompt?

is there is a tutorial out there that I can use?

any clues or answers will be helping.

Does your client already use REBEAn customization on Webi. If so refer to some other report sample after creating a copy.

what kind of customization is your boss wanting?

I don't know if they using it or not because i am totally new to the team

but what my boss want is. because of the prompt is so unfriendly so she want it to be developed in a friendly way by customizing or changing the web intelligence prompt dialogue box

so for example there will be dropdownlists, datepickers, radiobuttons, checkboxs in the prompt that make it more easier for the end user.
