COA Segmentation

Hi

Anyone can help me. Can we use one GL account for All segmentation in Segmented Accounting

    Hi Rajendran.......

    You can create GL accounts and clum under one GL group. But anyhow you have to create as many as GL as per the Divisions you have......

    Yes, do not select any segment while creating GL using account code generator.

    Hi,

    Yes you can. You can have multiple accounts under a GL parent/ title account. You can also have multiple title/parent account with multiple child account under them. It all depends on how you want to segement the accounts (dept, division, region,cost centre etc) and what's neater or easier to administer when adding new accounts considering that it should be manageable when the COA grows.
