DATABASE EXPORT FOR PARTICULAR TIMESTAMP

Hi,

I am working with the oracle 11g database along with ECC 6.0, Our database growth is exceed in last few years. We require to take the dump of the database for few years (Eg. if we have a full database dump of 10 years then we need to take the dump of starting 5 years of data) and delete the data from database.

Now my question is -

  • Is this possible to take the dump of partial database?
  • If yes, then how we can delete and restore data from database?

If anybody having the answer then please suggest...Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

It is not functionally possible to take a partial database dump.

In this scenario , the best and most feasible option is to archive your data with SAP archiving methodology.

This would consistently save your business data into a different location which can be accessible later and also your database size would shrink as a result.

You can get some basic information on SAP data archiving in the link below.
