Hi,

I need to change the occurance of an IDOC, I tried modifying the xsd and updated in an folder, next I tried to import the modified XSD , but when I click the import external definition button I could not see the updated folder.

when i check this in my local folder xsd is there but when i try to import it from Integraiton Repository I could not see the updated folder.

can any one suggest on this please? or is there any way I can modify the occurance Im using SAP PI 7.0

Regards,

Sethu.

step1: Once the Idoc is Imported from R/3 to PI System, the Idoc resides on Imported Objects, select the imported standard Idoc and double click on it (Ex: ORDERS.ORDERS05) - Change the TAB to XSD - Click on Export icon - Give the Name of the XSD File and Export it to the Desktop.

step2: Open the generated File with Notepad and change the occurrence

step3: Save the file in xsd format and download it into the External Definitions

refer below link for ex:

Hi ,

Hi Sethu,

Yes can send it to any client. You need to create the Destination in SM59 and use that while creating Receiver IDOC Channel.

You have mentioned that you are able to view the xsd in your local folder ....

1. Is it mapped to your client drive?

2. Do you have user access permission to that folder ? Check with your platform/wintel/access provisioning team.

3. While saving the file, what is the encoding type that you select ? UTF-8....

4. When importing the file in ESR , select "All files " instead of " *.xsd "

Try if these helps you.....................if not, pls share the screenshot

Check whether your folder require user permissions to open the folder... Or simple approach. copy the modified xsd in a desktop or under windows/users directory and try to import the xsd file from this location.

I dont think it is a PI issue, changed XSD store it on desktop and try to import it. it should work.

May be you are refering wring folder

Try to zip the xsd file and then try to import.

Or may be the file type (the column in pop up) is something other than .xsd . You may want to change it to "All files".

If you are using CITRIX, then obviosly your files on desktop will not be visible.

You need to keep the files on the system that CITRIX uses to login to the PI system.
