Blackflush without bom iteam

Hello everyone.

I have maintain ABC material as bulk material and also tick on blackflushing in material master ,  but ABC material is not maintain any bom. then how to system blckflush the material ? and how much quantity ?

Plz explain .

Hi,

First of all if you have not maintained any material in BOM it will not come for backflushing during goods movement while confirmation.

You can include these in Bill of materials but these materials will not be taken into account for product costing. Goods issue of bulk material is done to cost center when these material are consumed.

Bulk indicator takes priority over Backflush indicator. So the component won't even get copied (exploded) to production order

It will get copied (exploded) only if you make the relevant settings to in OPPR and/or OPPQ. But still you cannot issue it against the order.

Hi

When you have not assigned the material to Bill of material, it means you are not using this in production orders. Then there is no meaning of maintaining that material with backflush indicator.

Bulk materials are something like thinner, oil etc ( based on business) which you want to do issue to cost center and for which you do nit want cost roll up in order.

Backflush you can use somewhere you want the goods issue happen for the materials inside the order while doing production order confirmation.

Check why you want to tick both indicators.

Dear Jadhav,

Bulk materials are generally issued against a cost center using 201 movement and not through 261

movement.

Even if you set the backflush indicator,I doubt whether this particular item will be shown in the

reservation list of an order assuming this material is assigned as one of the BOM item.

If it's not assigned to any of the BOM as a BOM item,then no reservations will be generated and no

postings will happen.

But can you tell us your exact query?
