Hi,

>>>actually i am able to configure payload based search on IE but not on AE

do you have 7.3 ?

the supported payload message search on AE works from 7.3 as far as I believe

Cna you go like this:

1.

http://[host]:[port]/pimon

-  Configuration and Administration

- Adapter Engine

- User-Defined Search Configuration

or from NWA

2.

- SOA

- Monitoring

- PI Adapter User-Defined Message Search

hi ,

I tried createing the follwoing on AE -

1. filter

2. selection criteria

3. namespace prefix

4. In indexing, i got the message indexing job started and then i got the error saying indexing failed ....is indexing mandatory??

The messages are not getting filtered ...what can be the issue

Hi,

yes - without indexing payload search does not work - it's crucial

try checking the error in OSS notes

indexing is working now and indexing status shows indexing complete

but still when i go the adavanced criteria and put the value that i am passing as input it does not show the payload

I even try resending the message and then checking again

Hi,

did you check it step by step with my blog mentioned by Shabarish ?

http://scn.sap.com/community/pi-and-soa-middleware/blog/2010/12/06/pixi-selecting-messages-using-the...

all things must be done correctly - did the "test search criteria" work ?

Thank you,

Hi,

then the only way is to ask someone to the same for you

as you might have missed a letter or something and you don't see it now

or just remove it and create it one more time,

The only reason i can think of is if you are trying to search a synchronous Message. You can use user-defined search only for asynchronous messages in AAE/AEX. Can you please check your scenario? Few days back, I did spend some trying to find what was happening and saw that i was trying to search a synchronous message.

Hi Michal,

I am also in the same situation. I did the config 3 times but in the end I am not getting anything in "try search criteria".

What else can be the issue.

Can you just give an example of the xPath to be mentioned.

Hi Anand,

Example for XPATH : //ns0:MT_EMPDET/ID

In the above example "ID" is the field name for which am serching for using UDMS.

Hi all,

thanks for sharing .

I have requirement that I want search the Payload at Line level.

Current  PI user defined search shows that if the field value is availble or not and give no of messages count.

But if messages has  more then line item it does not give no of occurene in that payload.

Can some one tell me is there any way  I can take count at for the serchable Item.

Ram
