Hi Experts,
I have to assign a maintenance Pack to a strategy. see the below example:
Pack no. Cycle length unit maintenance cycle text Cycle short text Hierarchy Hierarchy short text
1 40 H 40 HOURS 01 1 1
2 100 H 100 HOURS 02 2 2
3 150 H 150 HOURS 03 3 3
4 200 H 200 HOURS 04 4 4
5 250 H 250 HOURS 05 5 5
6 300 H 300 HOURS 06 6 6
I need to assign a package of 125 hours. I am not sure how can i do this. Should i enter at the end with cycle short text and hierarchy as 3, in that case do i need to change cycle short text and hierarchy of all other downwards as there is already one with same cycle short text and hierarchy. What will be the impact on orders. Can it be done directly on production server as i think its not requried to be transported from development.
Regards
Hi,
You can add package to strategy in the last. It has to be entered in production client only. It will not effect orders already created. For the calls which are yet to be converted to orders, based on hierarchy selected either 125 hrs or 150hrs will be called.

As above you can maintain the strategy in the production system if you company proceedures allow this if not you would need to carry this out in the development system and transport to production.
If you insert this in the middle of the strategy then amend from the 3rd package onwards this will affect all the maintenance task lists that already have packages from 3 onwards so by doing this you then need to change all the task lists accordingly.
Any orders that have already been created via the plans will not be affected but all plans that are created from the time of the change will be affected in the respect the 150 hr package 3 will be 125 hr in future and so on for all the packages from 3 onwards.
If you add this at the end as package 7 then no affect on existing task lists and plans but your packages will be out of sequence on the strategy itself and you should document why it has been done this way and ensure that the planners know the reasoning behind it and the logic used.

hi
You can create the i think cycle short text changing wont impact anything , you an have same short text for both the cylce
only for hierarchy if you have to specify 3 then 150 hours operation will also get triggered if you dont want the same maintain as 7
