Hello all,
Working in Web Intelligence 4.0 and trying to figure out if the "Design" button can be hidden when displaying a report through HTML.
We found a work around where we placed the report within an iFrame of 788px wide and it does hide the button, but this only works when the report is part of an existing web site.
Now when linking to another WebI report, where the new report opens in a new window, the Design button cannot be hidden using the work around above as we're passing parameters between the reports (main and detail).
We have modified the user account so if they try to use it, they will get an error, but would like to remove the temptation all together as this will eventually be a report that can be accessed by the public.
So does anyone know of another way to hide this button?
Best regards,
Brian
Hello Brian,
You can hide "Design" button by denying "Reporting - enable formatting" right in CMC.
But doing so will impact other reporting activities, for instance you will not be able to use filters, etc.
