Hi

In our sap landscape, CRM is running on ABAP stack only. We do not have Java stack for CRM. Here we have SAP Portal 7.30 that is used to connect to backend server like CRM, ECC and BI (No Java stack is installed for CRM, ECC and BI).

As suggested by one of SDN forum, I have deployed Business package of CRM on the Portal server.

I'm following this sdn for the setup of IPC:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/How+to+Configuring+SAP+CRM+7.0+for+download+and+use+of+Vari...

As per above link, the following steps explain how to configure a Web application in XCM, assuming you have installed the application.

Starting XCM

You access the XCM tool at: http://*<host>:<port>/<web app name>/admin/xcm/init.do{*}

what sould be mentioned for 'web app name' to access the xcm tool? I tried IPC for 'web app name' but it did not worked.

Do i need to implement some application for IPC setup in SAP Portal server and how will it connec to backend CRM? Please suggest to resolve this problem.

Thanks

Amar

Hi,

You need to download the CRM 7.0 Java components and install them on the SAP Portal system. Then the XCM page would open. TO get the components navigate to http://service.sap.com/sp-stacks -> SAP CRM 7.0. Once in, select the CRM Java Application usage type and download the package and instal via JSPM tool.

Also please refer to http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP CRM 7.0 -> Installation. In the post install activities check the steps for CRM Java applications setup.
