I have Crystal Designer 11+ and a legacy report that worked for a few years but recently started to not display RTF fields in some instances, and not all. We stumbled on something that "fixed" it but do not understand why. When converting the display to a @formula field it fixed those reports that that did not display.
There is nothing in the @formula at all. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
No, I tried None and it did not help. Also, it is not just in the Designer that this happens. The application has a run-time version that displays reports (which is how the users discovered it) and it works the same as the Designer.

I do not recall any known issue with RTF fields in the latest CR versions. There could be something in report Design, like conditional suppression or even RTF tags interpretation.
When RTF fields are not displayed, does it show RTF code if you change the Text Interpretation to a "none"? (right-click the field > Format Field > Paragraph tab > Text interpretation )
