Authorization in BI

Dear Experts,

I have BI report and I need to assign this report to users.

Let suppose there are two users A and B.user A only can see the data of company code 1000 and user B only can see the data of company code 1200.

Whether we need to create two authorization objects for 1000 and 12000 and two role for 1000 and 1200. after that assign these role to respective users.

Or we need to create single role for both user. I am not sure what is the correct method.

plz advise me.

Thanks in advance.

regards,

abhishek

    Hi,

You should make authorization object for company code 1000 & 1200 , One role for both the users.

The data view can restricted by authrization objects only. There is no need to create role for users , in the given scenario.

    Hi Abhishek,

You have to create Authorization objects for comp code 1000 and 1200 lets say Auth_A and Auth_B and 2 Roles (Role_A and Role_B) similar to each other with only difference of Authorization objects. Assign each role to their Respective users.
