MDMGX extraction - delete reference data

scenario:  reference data values are deleted from ECC. MDMGX transaction runs and extract updated values, but deleted values will not be there in extract.

in this case how would i handle deletion of records in MDM. should i be deleting reference data records manually using Data Manager. is there any automation possible here?

SAP MDM does not provide any functionality to delete the records automatically neither using Import/Syndication and nor using MDM Workflow. It is a manual process.

Why It is Manual Process:  As Master data plays a main role in the any organization. So the decision of Master data deletion should be taken by business expert only. And they can decide it by reviewing the deletion records one by one, as, every master data record is unique.

Note: As per Master Data entices, Master data is not supposed to delete, it can be mark for delete or can be disabled.

Hi Subin,

As communicated by Michael, there is no process to make deletion automatic in case of Lookup table values. You have to navigate to concerned table and delete unwanted values manually. It is because there is no such option available in Import maps which could delete the data. Thank you.

there is no automatic process for that requirement. You have to delete the values manually with Data Manager.
