Portal bus pack migration 7.01 to 7.3 with EH5 ECC backend

Hi,
We are planning to migrate portal business packages ESS/MSS 1.41 from
Portal 7.01 to Portal 7.3
Eventually we will have to recompile the custom DCs components with new
Java version 1.6 to deploy it on the app sever and install Business
Packaeges ESS633 MSS630 PCUI_GP630.
But is it going to work with the EH5 on ECC side ? What are our options?

We would like to stay with Java business packages (not WD ABAP) at
least for now. Please advise.

You will have to install the new business packages on the 7.3..

For custom DCs you will have to migrate them to the new environment..First step would be to migrate the track to the new JDK environment, then migrate your custom DCs, fix the deprecated APIs etc.
