Platform for HANA

Typically the SAP Kernel is available for different OS and DB combinations.

Is HANA Appliance available only for Windows or other Operating Systems also ?

Which Databases does it support ? Sybase ? SQL Server ?

    Hi Prateek,

The latest Product Availability Matrix (SAP Support Portal -> Release & Upgrade Info -> Product Availability Matrix) says the supported operating systems are:

    For HANA database:

    LINUX SUSE SLES11/X86_64 64BIT

    For HANA Studio:

    LINUX SUSE SLES11/X86_64 64BIT

    WIN 7 32-BIT

    WIN 7 64-BIT

    WIN VISTA 32-BIT

    WIN VISTA 64-BIT

    WIN XP 2002 PROF. 32-BIT

    WINDOWS SERVER 2008/IA32 32BIT

    WINDOWS SERVER 2008/X64 64BIT

    WINDOWS SRV 2008 R2/X64 64BIT

    For HANA client:

    AIX 6.1

    AIX 7.1

    HP-UX 11.31/IA64 64BIT

    LINUX REDHAT EL5/X86_64 64BIT

    LINUX REDHAT EL6/X86_64 64BIT

    LINUX SUSE SLES10/X86_64 64BIT

    LINUX SUSE SLES11/IA32 32BIT

    LINUX SUSE SLES11/X86_64 64BIT

    SOLARIS/SPARC 10

    SOLARIS/X64 10

    WIN 7 32-BIT

    WIN 7 64-BIT

    WIN VISTA 32-BIT

    WIN VISTA 64-BIT

    WIN XP 2002 PROF. 32-BIT

    WINDOWS SERVER 2008/IA32 32BIT

    WINDOWS SERVER 2008/X64 64BIT

    WINDOWS SRV 2008 R2/X64 64BIT

SAP HANA in itself is a database. Was your second question around the Hardware it supports? If so, again you will find all that information in the product avaiability matrix.

    Thanks,

    Anooj
