Passing prompt values from summary report to prompt values in detail report

Hi experts,

I have a 'Summary Report' and it is having multiple prompts. Also it has a link to 'Detail Report'. Now when I run the Summary Report we need to select values for the prompts and the report is generated, that's fine.

Now, when I click on the link to the Detail Report I am getting the prompts again.

Here I don't want user to select the prompts, I want that the prompt values selected in the 'Summary Report' should be passed to the 'Detail Report'. The users shouldn't get any prompt in the 'Detail Report', it should come from the 'Summary Report'.

Help me out to do this.

What is your system? If it is 4.0 then do the following

    1. Open the report in Web browser

    2. Right click on the Table column or Cell you want to link to detail report.

    3. Select "Linking > Add Document Link..."

    4. Browse for the document you want to link to.

    5. Select the document. When you select the document you'll see "Document Prompts" section. You'll be able to pass values from your original report to detail report. You can even write formulas there.

    6. Also select "Refresh on open" so that your detail report will run with the parameters you click on.
