MRP question

Hi Expert,

On 8.82, the Forecast, I set every week we need the item “229644”is 1800cs. On MRP Wizard, The PO & SO has checked.

My question is on Week 26, MRP Demand are SO + Forecast. But forecast is 384cs only. Can you let me know why does MRP

need 384 cs only ? ( my forecast is 1800, and SO on this week total is 888cs, so 1800-888=912. But it shows MRP needs 384cs only )

Hi James,

How about week 24&25? Do you know why the qty is lower than the planned? They should follow the same rule.

Thanks,

Gordon

Gordon,

That's my question too, On week 24 & 25, MRP count SO only and ignore the forecast. Do you know why ?

MRP calculation check the available inventory first. If you have any onhand or on order, it will automatically deduct the total planned qty.

Gordon,

Appreciate your help, but my question is on recommendation, system does not deduct the total planned qty. my forecast is 1800cs /week, on week 24&25, system count SO only, week 26 is SO + 384cs .from 24-26,

on my thinking, MRP need use SO qty + others qty = 1800cs on week 24,25,26.  why the system does not care forecast. that's my point.

Thanks

If you already have stock, MRP will deduct them from your forecast. That is logical.
