Variable screen not displaying while executing SAP workbook

Hi All,

We are facing one severe issue with work books, users from different locations are trying to execute SAP BI workbooks they are not getting variable entry screen, we have tried from our end, we also faced same issue. Even we trying to refresh the workbook then also it's not displayed the selection screen.

What could be the problem.

Please guide us to achieve this.

Hi,

First please check whether you get the variable screen when executing queries on which workbook is created.

If you don't get the variable screen for query itself, then you need to goto Query Designer and check the

variable defined for the characteristics and whether they are mandatory input ready or exit variable getting

filled by exit function calls.

If in query you are getting the variable screen, then you need to goto your workbook , and goto the button "workbook settings"

Workbook setting  --->  Variables --> Check whether 'Process variables on Refresh' is enabled or not.

And also check your BEx query properties like "Refresh query when opening workbook" and also SPRO settings related to BEx.
